WMX Grips Introduces Super+ Reduced-Taper Midsize, Delivering Oversized Performance Without the Weight

SEOUL, South Korea – WMX Grips, a multilayer grip manufacturer that continues to reshape performance expectations through advanced materials and precision engineering, has announced the launch of the new SUPER+ Reduced-Taper Midsize, engineered to provide golfers with the comfort benefits of a larger grip size and reduced-taper lower-hand profile while maintaining a weight comparable to a standard-size grip.

Built upon the same four-step injection process and multilayer construction found in the original SUPER grip, SUPER+ features a firm inner core for enhanced stability and torque resistance, paired with a soft-feeling outer layer designed to maximize comfort and traction throughout the swing.

What truly separates SUPER+ from both traditional midsize and reduced-taper grips is its lightweight engineering. While many traditional midsize grips can weigh 59 grams or more, many reduced-taper midsize grips weigh 66 grams or more, and the SUPER+ Midsize weighs just 52 grams.

This allows golfers to enjoy the comfort of a larger lower-hand profile while maintaining a weight much closer to a standard-size grip, helping preserve the intended feel, swingweight, and performance of their clubs.

“The reduced-taper category continues to grow because golfers appreciate the added comfort and confidence it provides,” said Kim Hwon, founder of WMX. “With SUPER+, we challenged ourselves to deliver those benefits without asking players to sacrifice the feel and swingweight they expect from their equipment. Now players, fitters, and club builders have a grip that offers exceptional control, premium feel, and lightweight performance unlike anything else in its class.”

SUPER+ incorporates WMX’s distinctive 360-degree dual-texture design, strategically engineered to maximize performance throughout the grip. The upper-hand region features a high traction diamond pattern, designed to enhance stability and control, while the lower-hand region utilizes a flow traction pattern with interconnected channels engineered to promote moisture dispersion and maintain consistent traction throughout the swing.

Like all WMX grips, SUPER+ is manufactured using a multistep injection process that eliminates the need for secondary finishing operations, preserving texture consistency and precise weight tolerances from grip to grip. WMX’s paint-free manufacturing approach ensures the surface texture golfers feel in their hands remains true to the original engineering intent, avoiding the inconsistencies that can result from traditional manufacturing methods requiring post-production finishing processes.

The new SUPER+ Reduced-Taper Midsize is available now through authorized WMX dealers and online at wmx-usa.com for an MSRP of $20. SUPER+ is offered in Zen Black, Poppy Red, and Dark Mint colorways.
