B. Draddy, Zero Restriction, and Fairway & Greene Bring Authentic Golf Style to Burns’ New Golf Comedy
NEW YORK, NY — Summit Golf Brands, parent company of B. Draddy, Zero Restriction, and Fairway & Greene, proudly outfitted the cast of Finnegan’s Foursome, the new golf comedy written, directed, and starring filmmaker Edward Burns.
Premiering at the Tribeca Festival, Finnegan’s Foursome follows two Irish-American brothers and their children—fiercely competitive golfers who travel to Ireland to honor their late father by playing the courses he loved most.
The film grew out of Burns’ own introduction to golf after the passing of his mother, when he began playing the game as a way to spend more time with his father.
“Two years into my golf journey, I figured I had to make it a bigger part of my life,” said Burns. “I wanted to find a way to combine my passion for golf with filmmaking, so I started writing a screenplay about a family that was as passionate about the game as my dad was. That ultimately became Finnegan’s Foursome.”
As Summit Golf Brands learned more about the project, the partnership quickly felt like a natural fit. Burns’ screenplay centers on an apparel designer who returns to Ireland to spread his father’s ashes at beloved golf courses—a storyline that closely mirrors a personal experience of B. Draddy founder and Summit Golf Brands Creative Director Billy Draddy.
“Getting involved with Finnegan’s Foursome was a perfect fit,” said Draddy. “When Ed and I started talking about the project, we realized there were all these connections that had never been put together before. There was a real authenticity to the story and a family atmosphere that felt very familiar to our brands, which made the partnership feel natural from the start.”
Working closely with the film’s costume designer, Rosemary Lepre Forman, Summit Golf Brands supplied apparel from all three of its brands, helping bring the characters to life through a combination of classic golf style and performance-driven outerwear.
The production provided an ideal proving ground for Zero Restriction. Filmed at Ireland’s renowned golf course Carne Golf Links, the cast and crew encountered rapidly changing weather conditions that showcased the performance capabilities of the brand’s outerwear.
“Anyone who has played golf in Ireland knows the weather can change in an instant,” said Burns. “There were days during filming when we experienced all four seasons in a matter of hours, so it was very easy to integrate Zero Restriction apparel into the film.”
