SAN JOSE, California (July 20, 2021) – Silver Creek Valley Country Club in here will host the first ever Innovation Cup golf tournament on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021.

Silicon Valley and Bay Area technology companies are invited to compete against partners and rivals to determine the best tech golfers in the region. The winning team will take home a spectacular trophy as well as all-important bragging rights.

Twenty-four, four-person teams will compete in a shamble format with each company able to field one foursome – a second foursome may also be included, pending sign-ups.  Each foursome may have (at most) one member of Silver Creek Valley Country Club, but it is not mandatory.

The event will begin with a boxed lunch at noon, golf at 1 p.m., with dinner and an awards ceremony on the clubhouse patio concluding the day. The event is free to play in, with spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To register for the Innovation Cup on behalf of a Silicon Valley or Bay Area tech company, visit www.scvcc.com/theinnovationcup.

Nestled in the foothills of the Silver Creek Valley region among magnificent oak trees, a meandering creek, wetlands, and native grass areas, the golf course was designed to coexist with the scenic natural environment.

Originally designed by Ted Robinson in 1992, Silver Creek Valley golf course was renovated by award-winning architect Mike Strantz in 2002.

Silver Creek Valley Country Club is San Jose’s largest and most striking private golf and country club. Situated atop hills overlooking the golf course, lakeside waterfalls, and the Silicon Valley, the 34,000 square-foot clubhouse underwent a multi-million-dollar enhancement project in 2016.

The club also features a Sports Pavilion, which includes a beautiful tennis complex, fitness center and two swimming pools.

Silver Creek Valley Country Club is managed by Troon Privé, the private club operations division of Troon, and is a Boardroom Magazine “Distinguished Emerald Club” representing the best-of-the-best in private clubs.
