Back Country Boys & DJ Spencer Ludwig to perform 

FRISCO, Texas – The country rock band Back Country Boys and Latin Grammy winning trumpeter, songwriter, producer, and DJ Spencer Ludwig have been announced as the opening and closing acts, respectively, for the PGA Show Winter Jam Concert featuring country-music star Jake Owen on Jan. 25 in Orlando, Fla. 

Registered PGA Show attendees will receive complimentary admission to the new after-hours experience held in a new concert lounge in Hall E of the Orange County Convention Center. The concert is not open to the public.

Back Country Boys will begin the PGA Show Winter Jam at 6 p.m., followed by headliner Jake Owen, with DJ Spencer Ludwig closing out an exciting concert night. The PGA Show Winter Jam is an industry appreciation event for the efforts to grow the game by Show attendees in recent years and an opportunity to unwind and network with peers after a busy Show Day.

Back Country Boys

Back Country Boys was established in 2020 by founding members Mike Joyce and Brayden Reites. Over several years, they have welcomed current members Matt Byrne, Brendan McCormack, and Aidan Fox into the band. The Boys have performed at numerous local and national venues and have opened for various acts including Chris Janson, Eli Young Band, Ian Munsick, and more.

Spencer Ludwig

Spencer Ludwig is a Latin Grammy winning and Grammy performing trumpeter, songwriter, producer and DJ. Since being the original trumpeter in the multi-platinum band Capital Cities, the Los Angeles-born, half-Filipino has gone rogue, adding a new dimension of possibility to not only his sonic weapon of choice, but to pop music overall, and in 2019 he earned himself a Latin Grammy for co-writing and performing on Fonseca’s album “Agustin”. 

As a solo artist, signed to Warner Records in 2016, and as the trumpeter for Capital Cities, Ludwig has performed at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Ellen Show and he has toured worldwide with Bebe Rexha, Betty Who, Fonseca, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Katy Perry. 

He has also performed with Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Foster the People, Portugal. The Man, and The Wailers among others. As a DJ he’s supported Diplo, GrandMaster Flash and Lupe Fiasco and has spun around the world in clubs and at special events for top brands.

PGA HOPE will be the concert’s charitable partner. Veterans, Active Military, PGA HOPE certified PGA of America Golf Professionals, PGA HOPE Ambassadors, and PGA HOPE graduates registered for the PGA Show will be honored as special guests.

The PGA Show, the longest running and largest global business gathering of the golf industry, returns to Orlando for the 71stedition of the annual event, January 23-26, 2024. Organized by PGA Golf Exhibitions and the PGA of America, the PGA Show is open exclusively to the golf industry and is not a public event. Show attendees will receive complimentary admission to the PGA Show Winter Jam by showing their event badge at the door. The concert is a limited attendance event and Show badge holders will receive admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
