AUSTIN, Texas – Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, the picturesque Texas Hill Country resort sprawling across more than 4,000 acres, has re-opened Fazio Canyons golf course after a seven-month, $5 million renovation project to modernize the Tom Fazio-designed favorite.
The extensive renovation of the entire 18-hole course includes new tee boxes for additional length and versatility, new bunkers, and greens that enhance playability, allwhile elevatingthe course to today’s design trends and standards. Irrigation was also modified throughout the course to ensure optimal playing conditions.

Originally built by Tom Fazio in 1999, Fazio and his team played a significant role in ensuring the integrity of the course was forefront in the restoration. Fazio Canyons is largely regarded among the best courses in the state of Texas with its picturesque views of the surrounding native landscape with stately Red Oaks, Sycamore trees andlimestone cliff sides where the course meanders along the Short Spring Branch – a creek that traverses the course.
