Landmand prepares for its 2026 season with a new amenity for its stay-and-play guests

HOMER, Nebraska – The acclaimed Landmand course in Nebraska opens for its fourth full season on May 16, with a new putting green built alongside its four stay-and-play cabins.

Landmand is, once again, fully booked out for the whole season, though there is a facility on the course’s website by which would-be players can register to be informed if slots open up.

“It hasn’t been an easy spring – it has either been hot, cold, windy or all three at once!” says general manager Adam Fletcher. “But Pat Fischer and his team have done a wonderful job, and the course looks awesome. It’s going to be a great season.”

Trevor Dormer, now a partner with Tad King and Rob Collins, Landmand’s architects – who is also rebuilding the Old Dane course for the Andersen familty – and his brother Troy, built the new putting green.

“It’s set in the valley below the 18th hole, flanked by hundred-year-old cottonwoods, towering ash trees and a calming stream,” he says. “Will Andersen had been dreaming about a secluded putting and chipping green to service the cabins for a few years, and he selected the perfect piece of ground for it. We built a 15,000 sq ft green with unique putting zones , surrounded by various chipping areas and bunkers at widely different elevations.

“This floodlit golf hangout will be the perfect spot to enjoy with family and friends, looking for the full Landmand experience.”

“We’re staying open until Oct. 1, which is a little later than in previous years,” says Fletcher. “But we will close on most Mondays and Tuesdays to give the course a little more time to recover.”
