With full color, hole-by-hole layouts, precise GPS, and green heatmaps with pin positions, GolfLogix is superior to any other watch app on the market

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona  – GolfLogix, the world leader in app technology for golfers, is pleased to announce several new features to the Apple Watch application, solidifying its position as the most advanced golf GPS watch app on the market.

The upgrades to the GolfLogix Apple Watch application allow users to more easily view and consider hole layouts, carry distances, approach views, and green reading, all on their wrist, without having to pull out an iPhone. Static, numbers-only views for approach shots and putting have been replaced by new green reading maps.

No other apps for the Apple Watch have these features, which eliminate the need  for golfers to buy an expensive standalone golf GPS watch.

Golfers using the new GolfLogix Apple Watch app can review hole layouts, carry distances, approach view, and green reading all with a quick glance of the wrist. Hole view features allow effortless touch-point distances to anywhere on the course, while shot and stat-tracking are also easier than ever before.

“Our overarching goal as an 8AM company is to make golf easier and more enjoyable for the masses,” said GolfLogix President and Co-Founder Pete Charleston. “We feel that our new Apple Watch features make it better than any standalone golf GPS watch on the market today. The Apple Watch powered by GolfLogix is the world’s best watch for golf.”

The Most Complete Golf Watch App, From Tee To Green

Among the key features of the Golflogix app for Apple Watch are the following:

  • New tee box features allow users to drive with confidence. Full-color maps of each hole on the course are used for precise GPS distances to hazards and layups.
  • When “Hole View” is engaged, golfers can see the distance to the middle of the green and place a target anywhere on the imagery for precise GPS distances. A simple tap on the “Track Shot” button tracks the starting and ending positions and distance of your shots. Knowing the distances of all your tracked clubs allows you to dial in your distance and shoot lower scores.
  • In “GPS Target View’” a player can visualize a shot by zooming in on the imagery and setting a target to any location for accurate yardages from you to the target and then to the center of the green.
  • “Approach View’” allows you to use GPS distance to determine where you should best land your ball on the green and also set the pin to its exact location on a full-color green heat map.
  • Once on the green, “Putt View” can be activated in order to see the hole’s location and help read the line of your putt. Heat maps and directional arrows can be utilized, along with the distance of the putt, in order to get the most accurate read possible.

Keeping  track of your progress is also now easier than ever before. A simple convenient tap and save feature on the GolfLogix Apple Watch app allows golfers to easily keep their score, number of putts, greens in regulation, and fairways hit.

The GolfLogix app is available to download on the App Store. For more information, visit GolfLogix.com.
