Heritage Golf Group continues to live up to its reputation as one of the country’s fastest-growing owners and operators of golf and country clubs by acquiring three more clubs: Spring Creek Golf Club in Herndon, Virginia; Oasis Golf Club in Loveland, Ohio, its first in the state; and Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club in Sarasota, Florida.

Spring Creek, Heritage’s third club in Virginia, is a par-72, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Ed Carton that measures 7,348 yards from the back tees. Carton meant for it to be accessible for all golfers yet challenging for tournament professionals, featuring bent grass fairways and picturesque greens that follow the natural contour of the land to make it a unique golfing experience.

Other features of the club include a full-service Bermuda grass practice range — with a putting green, short-game area and practice bunker —a full-service golf shop, a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse with large multi-level outdoor areas with views of the 18th hole, a restaurant open to the public and a private event space complemented by an outdoor gathering area.

“Spring Creek is a nationally recognized golf course in a growing, vibrant area with outstanding access to Charlottesville,” said Andy Miller, the chief revenue officer for Heritage. “We’re excited to enhance the member and guest experience as we expand our footprint in central Virginia.”

Oasis Golf Club is a links-style, par-72, 18-hole championship course that was designed by Arnold Palmer in 1998, spanning 6,921 yards from the back tees. Features of the course include extensive heather, 53 bunkers and six lakes, including a 17-acre lake bearing the name “Arnie’s Revenge” that surrounds the final three holes. Other features include practice facilities with a driving range, short game area, and a large putting green.

The 17,000-square-foot clubhouse features multiple dining options with both casual and formal dining areas, in addition to a veranda overlooking the golf course. The club also houses a 38,000-square-foot conference center with three ballrooms that can accommodate more than 1,000 guests for private events. Other amenities include a Junior Olympic heated swimming pool with a separate children’s pool and full-service snack bar, an available bridal suite for weddings and men’s and women’s locker rooms.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to enter the Ohio market as we continue to expand our national footprint, aligning with our commitment to excellence within the Heritage Plus network. We look forward to the opportunity to enhance the member experience at the club,” said Eric Boberg, Senior Vice President of Operations for Heritage Golf Group.

Lakewood Ranch sits at the center of a more than 33,000-acre master-planned community home to more than 66,000 residents. The club features three championship golf courses; two of which, Cypress Links and King’s Dunes, were designed by Arnold Palmer. The third — and newest — course, Royal Lakes, was designed by Rick Robbins. The club offers several practice facilities, two different clubhouses, an 18,000-square-foot 24-hour athletic facility and aquatics center with two heated pools, as well as 20 pickleball courts and a tennis complex with 20 Har-Tru courts and a stadium court.

“Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club is the crown jewel of the Lakewood Ranch community, and we are proud to become its new steward” said Mark Burnett, Heritage Golf Group CEO. “We are honored that SMR selected Heritage Golf Group to continue building on its noteworthy tradition and impeccable nationwide reputation as the premier country club and lifestyle community. The continued growth of our network of clubs will only further enhance the member and guest experience as well as offer additional career growth for our employees.”
