Titleist golf balls with Radar Capture Technology (RCT) are designed to enhance the data capture of launch conditions in an indoor environment

ORLANDO, Florida – FlightScope, the global leader in tracking and analyzing sports performance data, announced today that it has partnered with Titleist to integrate the company’s Radar Tracking Technology (RCT) to improve the accuracy and performance of its Mevo+ and X3 launch monitors in indoor environments.

Titleist golf balls with Radar Capture Technology (RCT) are designed to enhance the data capture of launch conditions indoors and deliver the most accurate information possible. FlightScope Mevo+ and FlightScope X3 have been validated with RCT in an indoor environment. The following Titleist golf balls are offered with Radar Capture Technology: Pro V1, Pro V1x, Pro V1x Left Dash and AVX models.

Radar Capture Technology (RCT) allows for the capture of highly accurate spin data, providing more accurate measurements in indoor environments.

“The integration of Titleist RCT golf balls to the technology offered with the FlightScope Mevo+ and FlightScope X3 performance data technology is a big step forward for golfers using our units indoors,” said Henri Johnson, Founder and CEO of FlightScope.

“Our goal has always been to make accurate products that not only offer all the data to help golfers improve their games, but also to make FlightScope units user-friendly and easy to operate. We’re confident that we have enhanced the user experience with FlightScope products thanks to this partnership with Titleist.”

Radar Capture Technology (RCT) golf balls feature embedded radar reflective technology, developed over the past three years by Titleist Golf Ball R&D engineers. An internal radar reflective marker delivers optimized signal capture, delivering true spin versus estimates in current indoor settings. The embedded radar reflective technology does not require applying aluminium stickers to capture precise data from an indoor simulator environment.

“Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x RCT golf balls combine the game’s greatest combination of speed, spin and feel with updated technology from FlightScope Mevo+ and FlightScope X3 that more consistently captures precision performance and golf ball data when used in an indoor setting,” said Jeremy Stone, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball Marketing.

“Working with the FlightScope team, the result of months of testing has shown a reliably strong ‘signal’ that enables greater spin capture that leads to improved accuracy across ball data metrics.”

FlightScope is the industry leader and pioneer in tracking and analyzing sports performance data. Its products represent the pinnacle of tracking technology, enabling players and coaches to measure and analyze every aspect of performance data with unmatched accuracy.

About FlightScope

The industry leader and pioneer in tracking and analyzing sports performance data, FlightScope was founded in 1989 when its proprietary technology was originally used to track projectiles for the defense industry. Turning its attention to the world of sports, it has pioneered a variety of innovations to help improve athletic performance in multiple sports categories, including golf, tennis, baseball, softball, cricket, athletics and more to come.

Among the groundbreaking inventions it has designed and engineered are: the world’s first autonomous cricket bowling speed radar (1992), the first 3D Doppler radar in golf (2000), the first accurate tennis serve speed radar (2001), the first 3D Doppler radar for golf simulators – called “FlightScope TBox” (2002), the first 3D Doppler radar for golf driving ranges – called “FlightScope The Game,” which included game software and in-bay TV monitors (2003). Additionally, FlightScope was the first to launch a portable wireless tracking radar and also the first to integrate 3D Doppler tracking into television broadcasts, as showcased at the 2004 Nedbank Golf Challenge and Battle at the Bridges exhibition match.

Renowned for accuracy and ease-of-use, FlightScope products represent the pinnacle of tracking technology, enabling players and coaches to measure and analyze every aspect of performance with unmatched accuracy.
