New courses and operators invited to participate
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (March 8, 2018) — Find A Game, the only mobile and web-based platform enabling courses to match like-minded golfers through their social networks while stimulating growth in rounds played, has launched its Match Play Series for the new golf season.
With 30-plus public and private clubs in Florida, Texas, California, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia kicking off more than 65 separate monthly tournaments, FindAGame estimates that each club will generate more than $10,000 in incremental revenue in the first month of play and well over $120,000 annually.
The FindAGame Match Play Series, which began testing last fall at selected clubs, can be played in a variety of formats, for individuals and teams, and contested over five or six months, as determined by the course operator. Unlike other events that necessitate shutting down a course for a day or more, matches in the FindAGame series are arranged by the contestants at their convenience during the month of play and sold as normal tee times, leading to an increase in both weekday play and frequency.
“We’re rolling out FindAGame’s Match Play Series at all our courses as it helps drive both organic growth and attracts golfers seeking to compete and meet new friends, not the un-loyal golfer mostly looking for the hot deal of the day,” said Jeff Whitt, SVP of Century Golf. “The fact that FindAGame has automated most of the process makes it easier on our pro shop staff, as well.”
Among the national course operators with FindAGame Match Play Series starting in February are American Golf, Century Golf, Escalante, Touchstone Golf, UpToPar Management, Disney, and others.
Unique to the business, FindAGame’s proprietary algorithm software matches golfers by skill set (handicap) as well as age and attitudes towards golf, so matches not only feature spirited competition but bring together like-minded players sure to become golfing buddies who will book additional tee times, outside the Match Play Series, at participating courses.
Another advantage of the Match Play Series is that FindAGame does nearly all the work—including set-up, managing the sign-up process, communicating with the players, and online promotion—making life easy for a club’s professional staff. All Series data easily exports to Golf Genius and other popular course-management systems.
Tee times can be booked through the FindAGame automated email service, mobile app—which is available free to golfers on Apple or Google Play—or directly via the course.
FindAGame’s Match Play Series can be implemented at any golf club, public or private.
