Access Championship to be held In December at Troon North Golf Club

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – Troon, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, announced the 2026 schedule for the Access Challenge, a newly reimagined version of the former Troon Challenge amateur tournament series.

Regional qualifying for the 2026 Access Challenge will run from June through August at golf courses in Arizona, California, Florida and Texas. Two-person teams in both Net and Gross Divisions will compete to qualify for spots in the Access Championship, scheduled to be played at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Dec. 12.

The Access Challenge is open to all amateur golfers with discounts on entry fees available to Troon Access Members. Entry fees for regional qualifiers vary by course, but the cost of all qualifying events includes green fee, cart, practice balls, a Callaway gift, an official AHEAD hat, on-course contests, live scoring powered by Golf Genius and event prizes.

Regional qualifying events kickoff on June 7 at Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club in Surprise, Ariz. with golfers competing in a Modified 2-Person Best Ball format. The Low Gross and Low Net finishers at each qualifier will receive free entry into the Access Championship at Troon North Golf Club.

Access Challenge qualifiers include*:

  • Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club in Surprise, Ariz. – June 7
  • Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, Calif. – June 20
  • La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas – June 22
  • Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. – July 19
  • Yocha Dehe Golf Club in Brooks, Calif. – July 20
  • Lookout Mountain Golf Club in Phoenix, Ariz. – Aug. 9
  • Bayonet Black Horse (Black Horse Course) in Seaside, Calif. – Aug. 16
  • World Golf Village (King and Bear) in St. Augustine, Fla. – Aug. 16
  • Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz. – Aug. 23

“We are excited to introduce the new Access Challenge amateur tournament series,” said Kris Strauss, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Troon. “Golfers who have competed in the former Troon Challenge will enjoy the same great experience, with new wrinkles included (beyond the name change). One if which is the fact that the low net and low gross winners from each qualifier receive a complimentary entry into the Access Championship in Scottsdale at iconic Troon North.

“Golfers now have even more reasons to sign up for qualifiers – a free opportunity to take home the title of Access Challenge champion.”

The 2026 Access Challenge is sponsored by Callaway Golf, along with supporting partners AHEAD, ShipSticks and Nestlé Premium Water, with scoring powered by Golf Genius.

“Thank you to our incredible partners of the Access Challenge. Every partner adds meaningful value to the series experience and participants will certainly recognize this throughout the competition,” added Strauss.
