Fan demand brings the one-of-one design debuted at Edgewood Tahoe to pre-order as Pavelski heads into the PRO finals
LOS ANGELES – Alma Mater, the footwear company using innovation to create a profound impact in the golf community, is opening pre-orders for the Wisconsin Old Fashioned Beta, the custom shoe built for Alma Mater investor Joe Pavelski that turned heads at this year’s American Century Championship.
Pavelski first debuted the design at Edgewood Tahoe, where he returned to defend his 2025 title in a pair of custom Beta Lites built around his Wisconsin roots and his favorite cocktail, the Wisconsin Old Fashioned. The shoe struck a chord with fans and fellow players alike, and as Pavelski heads into the PRO Tour finals, Alma Mater is giving people the chance to make the design their own.
The Wisconsin Old Fashioned Beta stays true to Pavelski’s original build. The shoe features the Beta Lite in white with navy laces and an Old Fashioned graphic detailed on the sole. The personalization is worked into the Beta Lite’s existing performance architecture, so the shoe’s feel and function stay fully intact.
“I couldn’t be more excited to bring these shoes to golfers everywhere,” Pavelski said. “What sold me from the start was the comfort and the grip. A lot of lifestyle golf shoes ask you to give up traction for style, but Alma Mater doesn’t make you choose.
“These shoes have been perfect for me, and I can’t wait for others to have this unique design too.”
