Celebrating over a decade of impact, golf’s ultimate charitable challenge expands coast to coast with creator hosts and new markets

MONTEREY, California – Youth on Course, the nonprofit organization providing youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf, announced the 2025 schedule for the 100 Hole Hike fundraising initiative.

Honoring 10 years of growth, the 2025 Season will span iconic and community-focused golf venues from California to Florida, as hikers rally nationwide to expand youth access to golf.

This milestone year marks a decade of impact and features an expanded lineup that introduces new hike locations in emerging golf markets with strong, engaged communities.

New this year, multiple hikes will be hosted by a prominent golf content creator to help amplify awareness, drive participation, and spotlight the mission at their respective hike locations. Creator hosts include Tisha Alyn, Roger Steele, Bradford Wilson, Good Good Golf’s Malosi Togisala, and Nick Dimengo, Founder & CEO of Rainmakers Golf Club, and the former Instruction Editor at GOLF Magazine.

Additional creators will be announced throughout the season.

“As a proud alumna and ambassador of Youth on Course, I’m honored to host one of this year’s 100 Hole Hike locations,” said Alyn. “This hike is a unique and inspiring way to bring people together through golf while supporting a mission that has had a meaningful impact on my life and so many others.”

“The 100 Hole Hike is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Steele. “As a Youth on Course ambassador, I’m excited to host one of this year’s hike locations. I’m living proof of the power golf has to change lives. I look forward to connecting with hikers around the country to make golf accessible to more kids, so they too can experience the benefits only golf provides, on and off the course.”

“This season, we are proud to celebrate more than a decade of hiking with our most expansive schedule yet,” said Youth on Course CEO Adam Heieck. “What began as a grassroots effort to raise awareness and funding for affordable access has evolved into a nationwide movement that brings together passionate golfers, generous supporters and inspiring young people. By reaching new markets and connecting with both new and longtime champions of our mission, we are reaffirming our belief that every young person regardless of background or resources deserves the opportunity to experience golf and all the life-changing opportunities it can offer.”

The schedule for the National 2025 Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike Season is as follows:

  • Sept. 19 – The Lakes at El Segundo – Topgolf – El Segundo, CA
  • Sept. 29 – Bobby Jones Golf Course – Atlanta, GA
  • Oct. 27 –  Golden Gate Park Golf Course – San Francisco, CA
  • Nov. 7 – Butler Pitch & Putt Par 3 – Austin, TX
  • Nov. 17 – The Hay at Pebble Beach – Pebble Beach, CA
  • Dec. 12 –  Palm Beach Par 3 – Palm Beach, FL

Youth on Course supporters nationwide will be challenged to complete 100 holes of golf in one day and secure donations to increase affordability and accessibility for youth interested in golf. Registered participants can select between several hike locations, with fundraising minimums beginning at $1,500.

Beyond the traditional green grass hike locations, Youth on Course continues to expand participation through off-green grass golf experiences. For the second consecutive year, the organization is partnering with GOLF+, the leading VR golf platform available exclusively on Meta Quest, allowing players to complete their hike virtually from iconic courses like Butler Pitch & Putt and The Hay – both featured on the 2025 hike schedule.

New for 2025, Youth on Course is teaming up with Five Iron Golf, an urban indoor golf experience that combines golf, technology, and entertainment with locations in 15 states, to further extend access to the 100 Hole Hike. Details on both formats will be announced at a later date.

In addition to national hike locations, supporters have the opportunity to participate at over 20 regional hikes hosted by allied golf associations. Hikers can also plan their own hike at any golf course in the country, either by forming teams in multiples of four or taking on the individual challenge.

Whether playing, donating to a hiker via the official leaderboard, or simply spreading the word, there are countless ways to get involved and help make golf more accessible. Learn more about additional ways to participate here.

After more than a decade, the Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike continues to serve as a high-energy, high-impact fundraising event fueling the organization’s mission to ensure that cost is never a barrier to the sport. Hikers play for a purpose, raising funds to support subsidized rounds, college scholarships, internships, and career-building programs that empower the next generation both on and off the course.

In 2024, funds raised from the 100 Hole Hike season enabled more than 290,000 subsidized rounds for Youth on Course members. Originally created by Jim Colton in 2011, the event has experienced exponential growth since Youth on Course adopted it in 2015, generating millions to expand access and create powerful pathways for young golfers.

Today, Youth on Course serves over 300,000 members across more than 2,000 golf courses in the U.S., Canada, and Australia. In the first five months of 2025 alone, the organization welcomed a record 100,000 new members.

With more than 4.4 million subsidized rounds played to date, the organization continues to transform lives through golf, extending its mission to not only offer affordable play but also scholarships, leadership development, and career opportunities.
