MONTREAL, Canada — Sunice is celebrating 50 years of redefining performance outerwear, marking not only a half-century of innovation but also the beginning of a bold new era for the brand.

This milestone reflects Sunice’s enduring commitment to advancing technical apparel that empowers athletes and outdoor enthusiasts worldwide.

Founded in 1976 in Calgary, Canada, Sunice has consistently led the industry through breakthrough designs and advanced outerwear solutions. From outfitting climbers who conquered Mount Everest to supporting world-class athletes at the 1988 Olympics and the 2013, 2015, and 2017 Presidents Cup, the brand has established itself as a trusted leader in performance apparel.

In addition, Freestyle Canada announced a new clothing partnership with Sunice to outfit Canada’s National Halfpipe Team as athletes prepare for the major events of the 2026 competitive season.

With 50 years of ski expertise and nearly 25 years in golf, Sunice continues to deliver innovative products built for ever-changing conditions.

“Reaching our 50th anniversary is a testament to the people behind this brand—our designers, partners, athletes, and loyal customers who have believed in Sunice from the very beginning,” said Derek Faith, President of Sunice. “While we are proud of our history, what excites us most is the opportunity ahead. We are investing in new ideas, new technologies and new ways to serve today’s athlete, ensuring Sunice remains relevant, trusted and inspiring for generations to come.”

As Sunice looks to the future, the brand is entering its next chapter with a focus on relentless progress. Upcoming collections will feature advanced proprietary fabrics and new performance-driven designs, reinforcing Sunice’s mission to help skiers, golfers, athletes and outdoor enthusiasts push boundaries and maximize every experience, regardless of environment.

“Perform Without Limitations” has been the guiding philosophy of Sunice since its inception. This principle continues to shape the brand’s approach as it embraces emerging trends in fabric technology, climate-adaptive design, and enhanced mobility—setting new standards for what performance outerwear can achieve.

With an unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, versatility, and value, Sunice is poised to define the next 50 years through breakthrough products that enable customers to move, play, and explore with confidence. Built on a legacy of excellence and trust, Sunice’s journey is just beginning.
