ORLANDO  – Spark Golf, the leading brand in social golf leagues, announces a new way for golfers to build meaningful connections on and off the course.

The Spark Golf social network has been built into its popular league app to enhance the player experience for 2025. This newly-built platform lets Spark members share photos, engage with players, meet new friends and create personal Spark profiles.

A unique algorithm also creates a tailored feed designed to show players the most relevant content within their local Spark community.

Spark Co-Founder, Charlie Klaus, is excited to see the culture around casual golf grow while Spark continues to expand to new courses throughout the US and Canada. “2024 was our biggest year yet with well over 2,000 9-hole leagues across North America. We invested in this new platform because our members really wanted to engage with each other beyond their time spent on the course at league nights.”

Did someone just make their first hole-in-one? Or catch the best on-course sunset of the year before a league happy hour? The network lets players share fun moments before, during and after play each week. Players can also customize their profile and connect directly with golfers in their area.

Spark CTO, Paul Barry, has been a leader in the tech world for over twenty years and is excited about this major addition to the Spark app.

“This new feature strengthens the connections being made by players in Spark leagues and across the broader Spark Golf community, that we’ve been building since 2018. It will continue to evolve as we receive feedback from Spark users.”

Key features of the Spark Golf social network

  • SHARE photos from Spark league play and all golf moments
  • ENGAGE with league players and the local Spark community
  • MEET new friends from the local Spark community
  • CREATE a personal Spark profile

Spark’s community-focused mission has led to it becoming golf’s largest social network.

Kendall Hiller, Director of Operations for Spark Golf, has been waiting for this opportunity for players to enrich those connections. “Our service team receives hundreds of selfies and joyful comments from Spark players each week. Our new social network now lets them share their enthusiasm directly with their local Spark community.”

The Spark team will continue to invest in its new social network designed to unite recreational golfers through a platform that fosters engagement and community building, ultimately enhancing the overall golf experience for Spark players.
