Live show keeps its established home while Athlon develops next-day reporting and selected clips from its conversations.

ORLANDO, Florida — Quiet Please Golf Podcast has joined Athlon Sports in a content partnership that extends the weekly live show into Athlon’s golf coverage. The show will continue on its own channels, with Athlon publishing next-day articles and developing selected discussions into clips and follow-up stories.

The arrangement connects a program with roots in Philadelphia radio to a national sports audience. Quiet Please traces its history to the March 2006 debut of GolfTalk Live on AM990. Its current panel is Allen DePuy, Bob Baldassari, PGA, Andy Hydorn, Christian Nizamis and Brendon Elliott, PGA.

Together, the hosts draw on golf course operations, player development, equipment, sales, competitive golf and journalism.

A discussion of a Presidents Cup pairing, for example, can move beyond a prediction to the decisions a captain faces or the equipment and preparation behind a player’s week. The new editorial process gives Athlon room to report further on a question raised live or pull out a useful exchange for an audience that missed the full show.

Elliott, Athlon Sports’ senior golf writer and a co-host of Quiet Please, is coordinating the written coverage. The program’s live schedule remains on Tuesday or Wednesday, and its existing YouTube channel and podcast listening links remain available. Wider Athlon social and YouTube distribution is being developed as the rollout continues.

The hosts discussed the arrangement on the episode “Equipment Wars, Presidents Cup & LIV 2.0.” Elliott is also developing additional golf show concepts; those programs will be announced separately when their formats and launch plans are complete.
