The two have joined the company as Master Faculty
HARTFORD, Conn. (Oct.21, 2018) — SwingU, the golf technology and media company, has announced that Jim Hardy and Chris O’Connell from Plane Truth Golf have joined the company as Master Faculty.
SwingU offers the industry’s easiest-to-use GPS, scorecard, statistics and instruction app and publishes daily content to golfers via the SwingU Clubhouse e-newsletter and website. In addition, SwingU provides advertising and direct-to-consumer solutions through SwingU Marketing and third-party app development through SwingU Academies. Hardy is ranked in the top 10 on Golf Digest’s list of “America’s 50 Greatest Teachers” and ranked in the “Top 100 Teachers” list of Golf Magazine. He was voted PGA National Teacher of the Year in 2007; inducted into the Texas Golf Hall of Fame in 2011; and inducted into the prestigious World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame in 2015. Hardy has tutored several PGA TOUR stars, including Peter Jacobsen, Tom Pernice, Scott McCarron, Paul Azinger, Mark O’Meara, Curtis Strange and Brad Faxon.
Mentored by Hardy since 1998, O’Connell is one of the country’s top teachers, having been ranked in Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Teachers” list since 2013 and recognized as one of the “Best Teachers” in the state of Texas since 2011 by Golf Digest. His current students include PGA TOUR professionals Matt Kuchar, Hunter Mahan and Gavin Green.

They also have produced several best-selling instructional books and video series, including most recently The Release: Golf’s Moment of Truth. As SwingU Master Faculty, Hardy and O’Connell will provide lessons and drills which will be distributed to the SwingU audience across e-newsletter, web and mobile.
