Notable host facilities for 2018 include Bandon Dunes, Chambers Bay, TPC Harding Park and Whistling Straits

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (April 25, 2018) -The PGA of America’s signature PGA Junior Golf Camps for boys and girls ages 6-17 is expanding this year to nearly 120 locations across the country – with registration now available for summer 2018 camps.

Notable host facilities for 2018 include Bandon Dunes, Chambers Bay, TPC Harding Park and Whistling Straits.

PGA Junior Golf Camps are taught by PGA Professionals and designed for juniors of all skill levels. The half-day and full-day camp curriculum allows kids to learn the game in a fun, supportive environment. This follows a unique progression development tract that focuses on promoting fundamental golf skills, including full-swing, putting and chipping, as well as life and character skills-such as good sportsmanship, camaraderie and integrity.

“PGA Junior Golf Camps focus on developing both on-course golf ability and off-course character,” said PGA President Paul Levy. “These camps excel at achieving this mission through the leadership of PGA Professionals at every single PGA Junior Golf Camp location. We view these camps as a natural extension of our commitment to growing the game of golf for children across the country.”

The popular Competitive Edge Overnight Camp locations will nearly double to nine total facilities and will be held at some of the world’s most renowned golf facilities, including: The Johnny Miller Academy of Golf at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, California; Bobby Clampett’s Impact Zone Golf Academy at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida; and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon – in addition to 2020 Ryder Cup host site Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.

These overnight camps for aspiring junior golfers offer intense game improvement for boys and girls ages 12-17, who are preparing for tournament play and collegiate golf.

Camps focus on the advanced study of all aspects of the game, the use of the industry’s most advanced instruction technologies and daily on-course instruction to hone course-management skills. These advanced camps will also incorporate fitness and conditioning sessions, nutrition seminars and evening sessions, featuring notable experts within the junior golf realm.

“Whether parents want their child to try a new activity, learn to play a family game or aspire towards competitive tournament play, PGA Junior Golf Camps are teaching a game that can be enjoyed for a lifetime,” said Marc Haddad, founder and CEO of PGA Junior Golf Camps. “Together with best-in-class PGA Professionals across the United States, we are building a foundation for the game’s future.”
