ORLANDO, Florida — NXXT Golf has opened a new competitive pathway connecting the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour and the NXXT Faldo Junior Tour to the China Ladies PGA Tour, one of eight global tours recognized by the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
Established in partnership with GOLFJOY, title sponsor of the CLPGA Tour, the pathway secures four direct competition exemptions across the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Each is earned through performance on the NXXT platform, tied to a defined season-long outcome on either the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour or the NXXT Faldo Junior Tour.
The China Ladies PGA Tour is the official women’s professional tour of the People’s Republic of China, sanctioned by the China Golf Association. Its events award Official Women’s World Golf Ranking points alongside the LPGA, JLPGA, KLPGA, LET, Epson Tour, ALPG and LETAS, with global fields competing for purses of approximately $170,000 per event.
Access to the CLPGA Tour is traditionally earned through the CLPG Q Series, China’s qualifying gateway and the functional equivalent of the Epson Tour in the United States. The NXXT pathway provides a defined competitive alternative, earned through performance on tours already built for it.
Jinan Women’s Open — Sept. 21-27, Shandong Culture and Tourism Guyun Lake International Golf Club, Jinan. One exemption earned through the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour.
CLPG Tour Championship — Dec. 7-13, Mission Hills Golf Club, Haikou. The season-ending event of the CLPGA Tour. One exemption earned through the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour.
GOLFJOY Women’s Open — March 2027 Two exemptions earned through the highest season-long honors across the NXXT ecosystem. The first will be earned by the NXXT Faldo Junior Tour Player of the Year for the 2026 season, the top performer across NXXT’s global junior calendar in partnership with the Faldo Series. The second will be earned by the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour points leader at the close of the February 2027 season standings.
Four exemptions. Four ranking-eligible international starts. Built into the NXXT competitive calendar from the first event of the season.
The CLPGA Tour has produced some of the most accomplished athletes in the modern women’s professional game. Yin Ruoning, the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Champion and former world number one, turned professional on the CLPGA. Feng Shanshan, ten-time LPGA Tour winner, Major champion, and Olympic bronze medalist, is a CLPGA alumna. Lin Xiyu, a six-time CLPGA champion, is an established LPGA Tour competitor.
These are the players the next generation is working to become. Through this partnership, NXXT players will compete on the same stage they did, earned through performance on the NXXT platform.
The pathway is built on a result that preceded the program. Earlier this year, Shauna Liu, a Canadian amateur and standout of NXXT Golf’s Play Up program, accepted a sponsor invitation to the GOLFJOY Women’s Open at Mission Hills. Competing as the only amateur in a professional field, Liu advanced to a playoff, a performance that defined the standard for the program that has followed.
“NXXT Golf exists to create real competitive opportunities for our players,” said Stuart McKinnon, CEO of NXXT Golf. “The China Ladies PGA Tour is a Rolex ranking-eligible global platform that has produced world number ones and Major champions. Through our partnership with GOLFJOY, we have built a defined competitive pathway, earned on the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour and the NXXT Faldo Junior Tour, that delivers our top performers directly into world-ranked competition in China.
“For our top junior, it is a remarkable opportunity to experience professional golf on the world stage at a formative moment in their career. This is what a real player development platform looks like, and we are building it to grow.”
“GOLFJOY partners with organizations that move the game forward,” said Larry Wang, Founder and Global CEO of GOLFJOY. “Our role as title sponsor of the China Ladies PGA Tour gives us a unique position in the international women’s game, and we have looked for the right North American partner to bring real talent through that door. NXXT Golf has built the kind of platform that warrants this pathway, and the athletes who come through it will have earned every yard.”
The first exemption recipient has been confirmed and will be announced separately in the coming weeks. Additional recipients will be named throughout the 2026 season as the points races develop across both NXXT tours.
The pathway to the CLPGA Tour represents the first of several international competitive programs NXXT Golf will announce in the months ahead.
