CHESTER, NJ — Majors Challenge has announced a successful deployment of its digital golf pool platform integrated with live Golf Genius tournament scoring data for the Miami Valley Golf Association’s (MVGA) Metropolitan Championship.

The collaboration powered a real-time fantasy golf experience for the 104th playing of the historic amateur championship, marking what is believed to be the first time a digital golf pool platform has been paired with live tournament scoring integration for a major amateur golf event.

Majors Challenge, the golf industry’s leading software platform for running digital golf pools, worked closely with MVGA Executive Director Steve Jurick and his team to deliver a fully white-labeled experience that transformed the championship into an interactive, fantasy-style competition.

The custom-branded platform connected directly to live Golf Genius scoring data used by MVGA, enabling members, competitors, and local golf fans to build rosters of amateur players, track live results, and follow the action in real time — delivering the same style of engagement familiar from PGA TOUR fantasy contests.

The digital pool was a resounding success, offering the MVGA community a modern and exciting way to engage with the tournament, follow their favorite local players, and stay connected from the opening tee shot through the final putt.

“We are thrilled with the response from our golf community,” said Steve Jurick, PGA, Executive Director/CEO of Miami Valley Golf. “The Metropolitan Championship is our premier stroke play event, and Majors Challenge provided an innovative, seamless platform that added another level of excitement throughout the week. The real-time contest, powered by live tournament data from Golf Genius, kept participants and our greater community engaged throughout the championship and encouraged more people to follow the event as it unfolded. It truly expanded the audience and enhanced the overall championship experience.”

The success of The Metropolitan Championship pool signals a major shift in how amateur and club-level tournaments can leverage technology to boost fan engagement and member participation. By combining live tournament data from existing scoring platforms with the proprietary Majors Challenge platform, organizations can easily create customized, interactive golf pools for events of any size.

“This successful launch with Steve and the MVGA team opens the door for amateur associations and golf clubs worldwide to deploy our software,” said Dan Pitluk, CEO of Majors Challenge. “Up until now, high-end digital golf pools were largely reserved for PGA TOUR events. Our platform now provides the turnkey infrastructure to bring that same level of engagement to amateur and club tournaments by connecting with the live scoring systems already being used by organizations.

“We are excited to help clubs elevate their event experience with state amateurs, club championships, member-guests, and other marquee events.”
