It highlights the power of sport to strengthen communities and inspire positive change, reflecting the long-standing and evolving partnership between Dow and the LPGA, built on a shared commitment to driving progress in and through golf.
For Dow, the award is also an opportunity to celebrate women whose leadership, service and dedication to others mirror its own values. As a global leader in materials science, Dow has spent more than a century improving everyday life through innovation, collaboration and purpose-driven action.
This Year’s Extraordinary Nominees
Lexi Thompson was named the inaugural Dow Impact Award winner in 2025, celebrated for her work with youth golf organizations, breast cancer research and veterans’ causes. The second annual class of nominees continue that tradition of leading in distinctive ways in communities around the world:
- • Brooke Henderson, who supports children’s health by raising funds for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario
- • Danielle Kang, who established her own foundation to address child food insecurity and support education initiatives in the Las Vegas area

- • Angel Yin, the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Ambassador who is encouraging more girls to get involved in the game
How Fans Can Get Involved
From cheering them on in the grandstands to supporting their efforts away from the course, fans play an important role in the success of these athletes and help make the LPGA possible.
For that reason, the Dow Impact Award recipient is selected through fan voting, giving supporters a voice in recognizing these nominees whose influence extends beyond competition.
Fans may vote one (1) time for the nominee of their choice. The winner will be announced the week of Sept. 21 across LPGA and Dow social channels and on LPGA.com.
The nominee who receives the most votes will receive a $25,000 cash award and a matching contribution to their charity of choice to help extend their impact. The runner-up will be recognized with a $15,000 cash award, and the other two nominees with $5,000 cash awards.
Most importantly, the award helps elevate the stories behind each nominee’s community work, inspiring the next generation of athletes to think beyond personal achievement.
