Landscapes Unlimited constructing El Once at Palmilla Reserve

Los Cabos newest golf course and first with two pins on every green

LINCOLN, Nebraska – Golf course developer and construction company Landscapes Unlimited is nearing the first phase of completion of El Once, a private 11-hole par-3 course designed by Agustín Pizá for members of The Reserve Club at Palmilla Reserve, the final new real estate offering and private club within Palmilla, the iconic master-planned resort community that is home to One&Only Palmilla.

When six of the 11 holes open later this year, El Once will be the newest golf course in Los Cabos and the first with two pins on every green.

“Our talented team is off to a flying start constructing what is an amazing golf course with a setting to die for,” said Marvin Cruz, who directs Landscapes Unlimited operations in Mexico and the Caribbean.  “In only a handful of months, we completed shaping to precise specs, with lake build, pump station, and drainage activities in progress, and grassing to soon follow.”

El Once, Spanish for eleven, spans 1,017 yards across 17 acres in the valley at the western end of Palmilla Reserve on rolling ground cut by a network of arroyos with frequent wildlife sightings.The course plays between Valley Estates homesites on one side and the ridge on the other, where The Summit’s homes sit on Palmilla’s highest point with 360-degree views spanning the mountains to the Sea of Cortez.

The Clubhouse at Reserve Club sits at the edge of the course, near The Commons, the park and trail system connecting Palmilla Park to the rest of the community. Each green is carved into the mountainsides above the course, colossal in size, and designed across varied elevations with two flags.

“We are reimagining golf with a one-of-a-kind experience with multiple elevated tee areas, target greens, and a variety of ways to experience the more casual, social side of golf,” said Pizá, who has collaborated with legends of the game to deliver more than 60 world-class golf developments worldwide. “El Once is the epitome of exciting, ever-changing challenges for every level of golfer, and Landscapes Unlimited is executing construction with trust and precision.”

Landscapes Unlimited has built a strong infrastructure with top talent and efficient systems since it officially opened offices in Mexico less than two years ago.  

Project management and construction projects include Cardon Adventure Resort (Sinaloa), Springs Golf Club (Galeana, Chihuahua), El Dorado Beach Club (Cabo San Lucas), Vidanta Nuevo (Puerto Vallarta), El Tigre Golf Club (Puerto Vallarta), and Oleada Pacific Living and Golf (Cabo San Lucas).  Designers include Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, Greg Norman, Mike Nuzzo, Jackson-Kahn, and Rick Baril.

El Once is part of the curated collection of amenities unveiling at The Reserve Club, an exclusive, members-only enclave reserved for those who call Palmilla Reserve home.
