LINCOLN, Nebraska – Landscapes Golf Management is conducting its inaugural “Lead the Way on the Longest Day” summer solstice program on June 21 benefitting On Course Foundation and charities local to the 70-plus courses, country clubs and destination clubs in the company’s portfolio.

With America averaging roughly 15 hours of daylight, Landscapes Golf Management-operated properties are hosting sunrise-to-sunset golf tournaments, marathon rounds, twilight events, clinics, family games, theme parties, concerts, merchandise promotions, raffles, auctions, matching donations, dollar roundups and other member, guest and community activities with monies collected that day earmarked for non-profit giving.

“Selection of summer solstice day is intentional,” said Scot Wellman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Landscapes Golf Management and one of the program’s principal architects.  “It optimizes the time to inspire, rally and activate the communities we serve for the shared purpose of supporting meaningful causes and having fun in the process.”

Lead the Way on the Longest Day aligns with Landscapes Golf Management’s core values: lead, do what’s right, find a way, take care of each other and be the best.  Also widely known for its culture-first altruism and creating real social impact, the company’s on-site team members are thriving by running profitable businesses by way of excellence in leadership, teamwork, hospitality and philanthropy.

On Course Foundation uses golf to support wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans as they build confidence, develop new skills, and create new opportunities through employment, training and other means of assimilating them back into society.

For golfers and non-golfers unable to participate at a Landscapes Golf Management property, direct donations to On Course Foundation are made here.

In addition to Wellman, the 2026 planning committee is led by Craig Franke (Monroe Golf Club, Monroe, Wisc.), Hunter Johnson (The Golf Club Devils Tower, Hulett, Wyo.), John Kane (Butler’s Golf Course, Elizabeth, Pa.) and Murphy Klein (corporate marketing).  Committee members will rotate every year as part of the company’s “L University” training curriculum.
