MIJAS COSTA, Spain – La Cala Resort has been confirmed as the host venue for the 2026 Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho, one of the most prestigious events on the Ladies European Tour calendar, taking place from Nov. 26-29.

The tournament will be played on La Cala Resort’s acclaimed Europa Course, bringing elite women’s professional golf to one of southern Europe’s most established and complete golf destinations.

The 2025 championship was won by Anastasia Nadaud, underlining the tournament’s reputation for attracting many of the finest players in European women’s golf.

The return of the event to Andalucía once again reinforces the region’s standing as one of the game’s leading destinations, while also shining a spotlight on the municipality of Mijas as an established home for international sport and tourism.

Set within the rolling foothills of the Sierra de Mijas, La Cala Resort offers a compelling stage for elite competition. The championship will be contested on the resort’s Europa Course, one of three championship layouts, renowned for its testing design, elevated tee shots and sweeping views across the surrounding landscape.

With three championship golf courses, a 107-room hotel, extensive practice facilities and one of Spain’s leading golf academies, La Cala Resort combines scale, quality, tranquillity and a complete hospitality experience in equal measure.

Recent enhancements, including the addition of a new 9-hole short course in 2025 and the forthcoming Golf Hub, further underline the resort’s continued investment in its golf offering.

The resort has long been regarded as one of the Costa del Sol’s flagship golfing venues and was recently recognised as Spain’s Best Golf Hotel at the World Golf Awards.

“To host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho is a proud moment for everyone at La Cala Resort, ” said Sean Corte-Real – General Manager, La Cala Resort. “This is a tournament of genuine stature and an important date on the Ladies European Tour schedule. We look forward to welcoming players, officials and guests to La Cala and showcasing both our resort and the wider destination of Mijas to an international audience.

“We are proud to welcome a tournament of this significance to Mijas and to contribute to the continued growth of women’s professional golf in Andalucía and the Costa del Sol.”

Beyond the fairways, players and visitors will experience a resort shaped around contemporary Mediterranean living, with renovated accommodation, an acclaimed spa and wellness offering, varied dining experiences and easy access to the beaches, culture and nightlife of the Costa del Sol.

For La Cala Resort, the championship represents a significant moment in its continued evolution, bringing world-class tournament golf to a venue already renowned for leisure travel, lifestyle ownership and year-round golf holidays.

For Andalucía, the Costa del Sol and Mijas, it is another statement of intent in attracting premier sporting events with global reach.

Further details, including the official prize fund and player field, will be announced in due course.
