TEMPE, Arizona, and WAYNE, Pennsylvania –  Golf Genius, the leading worldwide provider of tournament management platforms for the golf industry, and Golfshot, the leading mobile and wearable GPS solution for golfers with over five million registered users, recently announced the launch of a strategic collaboration to bring unprecedented innovation and value to the retail golf market. 

This announcement follows the recent acquisition of Shotzoom, parent company of Golfshot, by Golf Genius.

Beyond basic GPS on phones and wearables, Golfshot has invested heavily in machine learning tools to perform auto shot tracking on the golf course. Using an Apple Watch, Golfshot can detect when the ball is struck, and with the GPS position known, Golfshot can plot the shot-by-shot journey along the course. 

Golfshot’s Swing ID feature also offers category-leading swing analysis. Whether recreational play, tournament competition, or on the range game improvement, golfers can have more fun and gain valuable insights into their game with Golfshot.
