Five Iron Golf Introduces “Drop 5,” a Performance-Driven Membership Initiative Focused on Real Improvement

Data-backed approach emphasizes reps, feedback, and accountability for golfers committed to getting better

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Five Iron Golf, an indoor golf training and membership platform built around structured practice and coaching, has introduced Drop 5, a new performance-driven initiative designed for golfers who understand that lower scores are earned through repetition, feedback, and accountability.

Timed to the start of the New Year, Drop 5 encourages golfers to use the winter months to build real momentum through structured training, with year-round access serving as the foundation for lasting improvement, reduced injury risk, and sustained gains once outdoor play returns.

Built around how golfers actually shave strokes, Drop 5 focuses on frequent practice, immediate data, and targeted work on scoring weaknesses.

Members train using Trackman-powered simulators with multi-angle swing-capture cameras in every bay, combining real-time video feedback with performance data to track progress, identify gaps, and refine their game over time through structured practice and professional coaching with PGA certified instructors.

“I’d played golf most of my life and hovered between a 15 and 20 handicap for years,” said Will Graf, a Five Iron Golf member in Rittenhouse, Philadelphia. “Since joining Five Iron, the combination of Trackman data, video feedback, structured practice, and consistent reps helped me move from hoping to break 90 to posting multiple rounds in the 70s and lowering my handicap to as low as a 5.5. It completely changed how I train.”

Drop 5 emphasizes intentional practice by leveraging Five Iron’s year-round access and performance technology to help golfers dial in distances, tighten dispersion, and build repeatable swing patterns. Rather than chasing quick fixes, the initiative reinforces a process-driven approach rooted in feedback, repetition, and progress tracking.

“Every golfer wants to be more consistent, but with so much information out there, most players aren’t sure what they should actually be working on,” said Mike Doyle, Co-Founder and Chief Golf Officer of Five Iron Golf. “Drop 5 is about giving golfers a clear, customized plan and a coach they trust to keep them focused on the right things. When you combine accountability, great coaching, and an environment people are genuinely excited to come back to, improvement stops feeling overwhelming and starts feeling inevitable.”

Five Iron Golf memberships are designed to support real improvement by removing friction from practice and making training part of everyday life.

In addition to daily simulator access, professional coaching, and data-driven feedback, members benefit from amenities that encourage consistency and routine, including club storage, complimentary breakfast, and preferred pricing on instruction, league entry, and Callaway Tour-level club fitting.

Select locations also offer full locker rooms with showers and towel service, allowing members to train before work, between meetings, or as part of their daily routine. Together, the performance infrastructure and lifestyle convenience make it easier for golfers to practice more often, train with intention, and build momentum that carries onto the course throughout the year.

While membership unlocks added value and ease, it is not required to enjoy Five Iron’s simulators, lessons, or events. Guests are always welcome to reserve time as they wish.

The Drop 5 initiative coincides with Founding Membership availability in key growth markets, including Nashville, Louisville, Coral Gables (opening February), and Syracuse (opening January).

Founding Memberships are limited and offer additional benefits for golfers looking to commit to a focused season of improvement in new markets.

Drop 5 is available nationwide across Five Iron Golf locations. Individual results will vary, and improvement is not guaranteed. Learn more at fiveirongolf.com/membership.
