New central New York location reinforces demand for a performance-driven, data-backed indoor golf membership model

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Five Iron Golf continued its national expansion with the opening of its Syracuse location this month, bringing its performance-focused indoor golf and training model to downtown Syracuse and the broader Central New York market, adding another proof point to the brand’s growing U.S. footprint.
Located at 400 S. Salina Street, the downtown Syracuse venue officially opened with a ribbon-cutting celebration and a ceremonial first swing featuring confetti-filled golf balls — a visual expression of Five Iron Golf’s approach to blending serious training with an energetic, social environment.
The Syracuse location is designed for golfers seeking consistent training, clear feedback, and a structured environment for year-round development. The space features eight Trackman-powered simulators with multi-angle swing-capture technology, professional instruction from certified coaches, league play, and club fitting services.
Beyond golf, the venue also includes duckpin bowling, a full-service sports bar and kitchen, and flexible private event space.
“Golf doesn’t need to be overcomplicated. Players improve when they have access, accurate feedback, and a system that supports consistent practice,” said Billy Manzene, golf coach at Five Iron Golf Syracuse. “This space is designed to make improvement part of everyday life, not something golfers struggle to fit in.”

A Syracuse native, Manzene brings more than 30 years of coaching experience to Five Iron Golf Syracuse, with a background working with players at private clubs across Central New York and beyond. His experience spans traditional club environments and modern training settings, shaping a practical approach to helping players translate practice into on-course results.

Five Iron Golf memberships are designed for players who want consistent access to the space and the ability to integrate practice and play into their regular routine. Members receive daily simulator access, preferred pricing on instruction, leagues, and club fittings, optional club storage, and discounts on food and beverage, along with other conveniences that make it easy to stop in, practice, or spend time at the venue.

Membership is not required to enjoy the space, and guests may reserve simulator time, book lessons, join leagues, or host events.

The Syracuse opening adds to Five Iron Golf’s expanding portfolio of locations across major and emerging U.S. markets, reinforcing the continued evolution of indoor golf from seasonal alternative to essential training infrastructure.

To celebrate the opening, Five Iron Golf Syracuse is now welcoming guests for simulator reservations, lessons, leagues, and private events. The venue will also host watch parties throughout the college basketball tournament and Masters viewing, offering fans a place to catch the action while playing, practicing, or gathering with friends.
