The Utah State Amateur Championship, established in 1899, is recognized as the longest continuously held amateur golf tournament in the world. Hosting the championships at Entrada signifies a historic expansion of the tournament’s geographic footprint within the state.
In 2022, Entrada unveiled its newly redesigned golf course by renowned architect David McLay Kidd. The 17-month renovation transformed the original 1996 layout by Johnny Miller and Fred Bliss into a par-71 course measuring 7,065 yards from the tips.
The redesign incorporates strategic contours and slopes, offering a challenging yet accessible experience for golfers of varying skill levels.
“Entrada continues to earn national recognition as a premier country club destination,” said Entrada at Snow Canyon General Manager Jim Cleary. “We are honored to host these esteemed championships and showcase our course to the state’s top amateur golfers.”
The 2030 Utah Women’s State Amateur and the 2031 Men’s State Amateur are scheduled to take place in early June of their respective years. Further details regarding tournament registration and scheduling will be announced in the future by the Utah Golf Association.
