Coral Hospitality expands its reach with two Florida courses

Two Florida courses came under the purview of Coral Hospitality in September. It acquired Misty Creek Country Club in Sarasota, Florida and added Old Corkscrew Golf Club in Estero, Florida to its management portfolio.

This story was first reported by Golf Inc. magazine.

Misty Creek becomes its ninth owned course and Old Corkscrew is its 13th managed course.

Misty Creek is located entirely within a 350-acre wildlife preserve, the only such course in southwest Florida. It is a semi-private 18-hole championship course that was designed by Ted McAnlis in 1985 and offers several levels of membership.

Old Corkscrew is a 7,400-yard 18-hole course that carries the Jack Nicklaus Signature Design pedigree and is certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It is a standalone course separate from any housing development and highlights the oak, pine and cypress trees native to the area.

“Adding Old Corkscrew to our portfolio allows us to offer to our guests one of the most highly-rated public courses in South Florida,” said Mark Osterhaus, President of Coral Hospitality. “We are delighted to have been chosen by the Hoffman Family of Companies to manage Old Corkscrew and look forward to providing a level of service and course conditions to our guests they are not able to experience elsewhere.”

Coral Hospitality, based in Naples, Florida, owns and manages courses in Georgia and southwest Florida and tailors its management approach to each club’s individual strengths.
