CARLSBAD, California – COBRA Golf, a leader in golf club innovation, today introduced the latest KING TEC and KING TEC ONE Length Hybrids.
Aimed at better players who require more control and shotmaking versatility, the new and improved KING TEC hybrids feature a number of impressive technologies including Cobra’s game-changing FutureFit33 adjustable loft and lie system.
The new KING TEC Hybrid features a refined shape and smaller address profile, inspiring more workability and precision for better players. A lightweight carbon crown allows more discretionary weight to be positioned within the clubhead to enhance speed and forgiveness, while a H.O.T. Face design uses 15 unique hot spots on the face to deliver more efficient speed and spin across the entire face.
A forged PWRSHELL face insert further enhances ball speed by providing more flexibility across a larger area of the face for more speed and higher launch.
For increased fine tuning of trajectory and spin, the new KING TEC Hybrid also features an adjustable weighting system that allows two weights (one 12g and one 2g) to be positioned in the toe or heel (additional weights are available through custom order).
In addition, COBRA’S impressive FutureFit33 ADJUSTABLE HOSEL SYSTEM allows for 33 unique loft and lie settings that can be adjusted quickly and easily by fitters and players alike. FutureFit33 also allows for +/- 2° loft and lie to be adjusted independently to unlock proper gapping at the top end of the bag.
COBRA’s SMARTED TECHNOLOGY, an innovative sole geometry design, ensures the clubface remains square at address regardless of the loft or lie setting.
The KING TEC Hybrid is also available in a ONE Length option offering a 7-iron (37.25”) length for players that prefer a repeatable setup and swing throughout the set. The KING TEC ONE Length Hybrid features all the same technologies as the standard model but has more traditional hybrid shaping as well as the addition of a 12g fixed rear weight that positions the CG low and back to promote a higher launch and enhanced stability on off-center hits.
The KING TEC Hybrid ($299/each) is available in 2H (17°), 3H (19°), 4H (22°), and 5H (25°), while the KING TEC ONE Length Hybrid ($299/each) is avaiblle in 3H (19°), 4H (21°), and 5H (24°).
