JACKSONVILLE, Florida— Chris Cote’s Golf Shop, a fixture on the Connecticut golf scene for 17 years, continues to elevate the player experience at their award-winning facilities in Southington and Portland through their ongoing investment in Power Tee automatic teeing systems.

Since acquiring the Southington location in November 2019, the Cote family set out with two clear goals: modernizing the driving range experience and better engaging younger golfers. That vision has come to life through the installation and expansion of Power Tee technology across both properties.

Today, the Southington facility of Chris Cote’s Golf Shop features 30 Power Tee bays, establishing one of the most advanced and efficient practice environments in the region. The Portland location includes 20 outdoor Power Tee bays.

Power Tee’s automatic teeing technology allows golfers to practice more efficiently while creating a cleaner, more enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels. The system also helps facilities increase customer satisfaction, encourage longer visits, and elevate the overall atmosphere of the driving range.

Together, these installations have transformed both locations into high-performance practice and retail destinations that blend innovation, convenience, and player development—helping golfers of all ages get more meaningful repetitions in less time.

“Chris Cote’s Golf Shop has always been about making golf more accessible, more enjoyable, and more effective for every player who walks through our doors,” said Danielle Cote, store manager at Chris Cote’s Golf Shop. “Power Tee has been a huge part of that mission. It allows our customers to stay engaged, get more quality swings in, and truly get the most out of their time on the range. The entire Cote family and staff support golfers through fittings, lessons, simulators, repairs, and everything they need to enjoy the game.”

CEO Chris Cote is a prominent Connecticut golf businessman, recognized for building a premier multi-location retail and, fitting, and entertainment enterprise. As the owner of Chris Cote’s Golf Shop, he has achieved 10 consecutive years as a Golf Digest Top 100 Club Fitter and expanded to include driving ranges, the Chris Cote School of Golf, and regional retail locations.

He has also been recognized by the local community including an Entrepreneur of the Year award from the town of Portland, CT.

“Chris Cote’s Golf Shop represents exactly what we strive for with Power Tee—forward-thinking operators who are committed to improving the golfer experience at every level,” said Martin Wyeth, Founder and Owner of Power Tee. “The Cote family has built something truly special in Connecticut, and their commitment to innovation ensures that golfers are getting more enjoyment, more efficiency, and more value every time they practice.”

The continued success of Power Tee at both Southington and Portland underscores the Cote family’s long-standing commitment to innovation in golf retail and practice experiences, further solidifying their reputation as Connecticut’s go-to destination for all things golf.
