Revamped golf pro shop, new fitness center complete multi-year renovation process at Dallas-area facility
RICHARDSON, Texas – Invited, the worldwide leader in private clubs and formerly known as ClubCorp, is pleased to announce the completion of the final phase of several significant reinvestment efforts at Canyon Creek Country Club.
These renovations are part of an ongoing multimillion reinvestment campaign that spans Invited’s portfolio of private member clubs and is focused on creating a refined yet inviting environment that best fits today’s members.
A new state of the art fitness center features a movement studio to better accommodate group classes. Outfitted with best in class Technogym training equipment, TRX suspension trainers, free weights, cardio equipment like treadmills and rowing machines, and more, the fitness center features a diverse array of exercise offerings that will suit any workout.
“Our goal was to make the necessary investments in Canyon Creek turning into one of the jewels of the Invited portfolio, and these final renovations have enabled us to do just that,” said David Pillsbury, CEO of Invited. “From a modern and playable golf course to a stunning refreshed clubhouse, brand new restaurant and bar, to new amenities like the kids club and top-of-the-line fitness center, Canyon Creek is a shining example of what we’re striving to develop for and deliver to our members through this intentional process of reinvestment.”
These renovations cap off an extensive reinvestment in Canyon Creek, including a comprehensive reimagination of its golf course. The course was lengthened to 7,037 yards and now plays as a par 72 with a host of impactful aesthetic features incorporated throughout. Extensive tree trimming enhanced the beauty and visibility of Prairie Creek and a new waterfall feature along the 18th hole delivers a stunning visual element for those finishing their rounds.
Additionally, the redesign of its bunkers enhances the challenge for the everyday golfer while the renovation of the greens with premium TifTuf Bermuda grass and G12 Champion Greens brings a new level of quality to the course. The newly lengthened driving range and enhanced features, including Trackman, premier turf, new targets, and practice accessories, complete the golf improvements.
The club also opened a new pickleball facility with 10 courts, as well as a resort-style swimming pool, further enhancing the member experience. Elevated dining offerings through Richardson’s Table, relocated to the front of the renovated clubhouse, boasts a diverse menu that honors the community’s culinary heritage while also incorporating an outdoor dining experience.
