Built on the belief that what golfers put in their glass should matter as much as what they put in their bag
For many golfers, the 19th hole is as much a part of the day as the first tee. It’s a chance to share a drink, talk through the round, and enjoy the company. For founder Chris Bishouty, something always felt missing: a spirit that felt like it belonged to the game. That idea became Broken Tee Vodka.
“Golfers care about what they put in their bag. They care about what they wear and where they play. I felt like what we put in our glass deserved that same attention,” said Bishouty. “I wanted to create something we could call our own: a great vodka that belongs at the 19th hole and represents the people sitting around the table.”
That conviction guides both the brand and the liquid inside the bottle. Broken Tee is crafted in the USA from non-GMO corn, distilled seven times, and carbon filtered. Its quality has earned Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2024 and 2025, including a 93-point rating in 2025, alongside Double Gold at the 2025 SIP Awards.
Broken Tee was made for the people who keep the game going: the men’s and women’s groups with a standing tee time, the weekend golfers, and the friends who look forward to their annual trip all year.
The name Broken Tee reflects the brand’s roots in golf, drawing on a familiar symbol of the game and the experiences its players share.
“The name is about the connection we have through playing golf. A broken tee is a small reminder of that shared experience, and we wanted to build a brand that celebrates it,” said Bishouty. “We’re golfers making vodka for our own community.”
Every bottle includes a signature Broken Tee ball marker, a detail made for golfers to use long after the last pour. It’s a small way to bring the brand from the 19th hole into the next round.
The ball marker also plays a part in Broken Tee’s special releases. Its 4 Majors collection celebrates golf’s major championships with limited-release bottles featuring course-inspired labels and custom ball markers designed for each tournament, giving golfers a keepsake tied to the events they follow.
Through its 19th Hole Series, Broken Tee also works with golf properties on custom labels that give members and guests a bottle representing their own club.
The brand’s private-label collaborations have included Panther National and the Dormie Network among others, extending its connection to golf into the places where people play.
Whether the gathering happens at the clubhouse or on a friend’s patio, the idea behind Broken Tee stays the same: a vodka made with golfers in mind, for the moments that bring them together before, during, and after the round.
