NOORD-BRABANT, Netherlands – Bernardus, host venue of the 2026 Solheim Cup, has been named Best Golf Club in the Netherlands at the 2026 Golfers’ Choice Awards by Leading Courses, securing the country’s top position for the third consecutive year and reinforcing its status as the nation’s top course.
The rankings are based entirely on verified reviews from golfers who have visited and played the course, offering an authentic reflection of the on-site experience and providing a level of credibility that sets them apart from traditional media or industry-led awards.
Bernardus’ latest success was further underlined by three additional honors from Leading Courses, having also been awarded top spot in the categories for Best Maintenance, Best Hospitality and Best Facilities. Together, the awards reflect the all-round quality of the club experience, both on and off the course.Among them, Best Maintenance carries particular weight, underlining the importance of course conditioning at Bernardus and the pride the team takes in this aspect of the club experience. The award is a tribute to the work of the greenkeeping team and superintendent Niall Richardson, whose care, expertise and consistency are central to maintaining the course at such a high standard.
