JOHN’S CREEK, Georgia – The Atlanta Athletic Club has once again been recognized by the Golf Range Association of America for its excellent private practice facilities.

The club boasts 20 acres devoted to golf, tennis, and swimming practice. For golf, it has:

A 62-tee driving range with dual-sided hitting stations sited not to face the sun

  • Two practice putting greens
  • Eight heated practice bays
  • Four practice pitching and chipping greens
  • Four practice bunker greens
  • A practice fairway bunker
  • A 965-yard, par-3 course with small greens and nine holes that range from 75 to 125 yards

“Our 2024 GRAA Top 50 Private Facilities are creating a home away from home for their members,” stated Golf Range Magazine editors. “In addition to their pristine golf courses, stellar clubhouses, delicious F&B services, and great extracurricular activities and amenities, these private clubs deliver outstanding driving ranges, short game areas, practice putting greens, and short courses that make private membership a special way to experience the game of golf.”

Atlanta Athletic Club’s practice facilities are also home to a robust junior golf program, where hundreds of kids each year are provided an opportunity to learn the sport surrounded by their peers in a well-organized and safe environment overseen by an award-winning staff.

Annually, the club hosts the High School Invitational (traditionally the last Monday in March), which showcases 18 boys’ and girls’ teams from Georgia, the Carolinas, and even some from as far away as California. This year will mark the 20th anniversary of the boys’ event and the 11th girls’ event. In 2025, the U.S. Girls’ Junior will be contested at the club from July 14-19.

For more than 125 years, Atlanta Athletic Club has been committed to delivering an exceptional, family-focused experience that consistently exceeds the expectations of all those served while preserving the club’s heritage, traditions, and reputation for championship golf. The club is renowned for personalized service and for being the social and recreational hub for members.
