THE COLONY, Texas – The LPGA Tour and Outlyr announced recently that Ascendant National Title, a Cypress Ascendant Company, is teaming up with Volunteers of America in a new multi-year partnership to serve as co-title sponsors for the LPGA Tour’s annual event held outside Dallas beginning in 2022.

The Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America will take place Sept. 26-Oct. 2 and return to Old American Golf Club, part of Golf Clubs at The Tribute in The Colony, Texas. The championship will feature a field of 132 of the world’s best female professional golfers vying for a share of the $1.7 million purse, a $200,000 increase from the previous $1.5 million.

“We are incredibly honored and excited to join the LPGA Tour family as co-title sponsor for the Ascendant LPGA benefiting Volunteers of America,” said Ascendant National Title President and CEO, Len Franco. “None of this would have been possible without our parent company and partner, Cypress Ascendant, and their generous support and vision for this partnership.

“We look forward to expanding our presence in professional golf by supporting and empowering female athletes through our partnership. We are thrilled to be hosting this world-class championship in The Colony this fall.”

“Volunteers of America has enjoyed a long partnership with the LPGA Tour over the past several years, and we are excited to work with Ascendant National Title and Cypress Ascendant in elevating this championship as one of the premiere events on the LPGA Tour schedule,” said Mike King, Volunteers of America National President and CEO. “With this partnership, we are able to raise the purse while also enhancing the experiences onsite throughout the week. We look forward to hosting this event alongside Ascendant National Title.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Ascendant National Title to the LPGA Tour and our family of title sponsors,” said Mollie Marcoux Samaan, LPGA Commissioner. “We also want to thank our friends at Volunteers of America for their long-standing partnership with the LPGA Tour.

“As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of this impactful championship, we look forward to working with these two great partners to continue to provide our world-class athletes with the opportunity to reach new heights for many more years to come. We are particularly grateful for the collective commitment to an increased purse and an elevated player experience.”
