STAMFORD, Connecticut  — Arccos, the leader in AI-powered golf performance tracking, today announced the launch of the Arccos Smart Laser Rangefinder, the first-of-its-kind laser built on AI and software.

It goes beyond a single yardage to deliver golf’s most advanced, real-time “plays like” distance by combining live local weather with precise GPS positioning and detailed global mapping for 40,000+ courses, which together drive the unmatched accuracy of its calculations.

Automatic software updates keep the system evolving, ensuring golfers always have a number they can trust and the confidence they can feel on every shot.

“Traditional rangefinders haven’t evolved in a decade,” said Sal Syed, Arccos CEO and Co-Founder. “We built the Arccos Smart Laser as an AI-powered, software-driven device that connects to your game and keeps getting better. It turns complex conditions into a single trusted number.

“For Arccos Game Tracking subscribers, it also seamlessly integrates by automatically setting the pin in our app, saving time and helping to ensure their data is more precise and powerful than ever before.”

Built to evolve with every round

Unlike hardware-centric rangefinders, the Arccos Smart Laser is architected around AI and software with instant app sync, enabling capabilities no other rangefinder can match:

  • AI-Powered “Plays Like” Distances: Automatically updates for wind speed and direction (including gusts), slope, temperature, humidity, and altitude in real time.
  • Detailed Global Mapping: Coverage of 40,000+ courses worldwide with precise GPS positioning and awareness of your location and aim.
  • Automatic Pin Setting: The location of every pin you shoot is instantly recorded in the Arccos app, improving stats for Game Tracking subscribers.
  • Automatic Software Updates: Continuous improvements such as better weather algorithms, new features, and deeper personalization keep the product evolving.

“The Arccos Smart Laser turns complicated physics into a single, trusted decision input,” said Dave LeDonne, VP of Product at Arccos. “You get the most accurate number available, and the confidence that comes with that, without changing your pre-shot routine.”

Pricing and availability

  • Smart Laser Access: Requires an active Arccos Game Tracking and Smart Laser subscription to power live local weather, precise mapping, and automatic software updates.
  • Introductory Price: $299.99, including one year of the Smart Laser subscription (renews at

$16.67 per month billed annually).

  • Introductory Smart Laser Bundle Price: $449.99 includes the Arccos Smart Laser and Arccos SmartSensors, with one year of both Game Tracking and Smart Laser subscriptions

Proven platform, trusted by the game

Arccos powers its ecosystem with the world’s largest on-course dataset, spanning more than 25 million rounds, 1.3 billion shots, and 3.9 trillion data points. Strengthened by partnerships across leading OEMs, the PGA TOUR, and elite players and coaches, Arccos is recognized as golf’s No. 1 game tracker.

Trusted by amateurs and professionals alike, Arccos ambassadors include Matt Fitzpatrick, Edoardo Molinari, and Erik Anders Lang. The system seamlessly tracks every shot and transforms that data into insights that help players make smarter decisions, shoot lower scores, and continuously improve.
