MALLORCA, Spain — Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, recently named Golf Resort of the Year by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), is progressing a comprehensive €1.85 million investment initiative aimed at elevating the resort’s overall guest experience and operational excellence.

The multi-phase programme spans completed projects in 2024, ongoing developments in 2025, and further upgrades scheduled through early 2026.  Investments across the award-winning resort focus on golf course infrastructure, hospitality enhancements, digital innovation, and sustainability, supporting Arabella’s position as one of Europe’s leading golf destinations.

At Golf Son Muntaner, which marks its 25th anniversary in 2025, notable upgrades include the deployment of a new fleet of 60 Teycar electric golf buggies.

These vehicles feature extended battery life, improved passenger comfort with premium leather seats, and GPS technology. Additionally, the driving range has been equipped with TopTracer technology to enhance practice facilities, and a full renovation of the back-nine cart paths has been completed, with work on the front nine scheduled for 2026.

At Golf Son Vida, the resort has completed full renovation of the greens and tees on the back nine. Across all three championship courses – Son Vida, Son Muntaner and Son Quint – the resort has also invested in advanced maintenance machinery to ensure consistently high course conditions year-round.

Hospitality offerings have been further strengthened with the opening of a new Italian-themed restaurant at Golf Son Quint, enhancing the culinary experience for resort guests and members.

Bernat Llobera, Director of Golf at Arabella Golf Resort Mallorca, said, “Our ongoing investment programme reflects a clear commitment to delivering a premium, modern golf resort experience. We are focused on meeting the evolving expectations of today’s guests, combining championship golf with innovation, sustainability, and five-star service.”

Sustainability remains a core pillar of the investment focus as part of the resort’s ‘Green Evolution’ strategic plan centred around four main pillars: water management, energy management, sustainable consumption, and the preservation of the natural environment.

New 16-person electric shuttle vehicles now connect the resort’s three 18-hole golf courses and 9-hole par-3 course with its two luxury hotels, reducing carbon emissions while improving on-site mobility. Additionally, the resort’s ecological garden has been expanded to supply seasonal organic produce to its restaurants, reinforcing Arabella’s focus on locally sourced sustainable gastronomy and its operation as a circular enterprise.

These golf-focused investments complement broader improvements across the 63-hole European Tour Destination. The Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel has recently undergone guest room refurbishments, and further renovations are planned for Castillo Hotel Son Vida by the end of 2025.
