Company creates headwear to celebrate June 1 global event

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (April 20, 2021) – For the sixth year, AHEAD is pleased to be the official headwear partner supporting Women’s Golf Day (WGD).  On June 1, 2021 AHEAD will join more than 50,000 women and girls, 900 golf courses and 68 countries around the world participating in this international one-day event, which was created to engage, empower, and support women and girls through golf.

“AHEAD is proud to join thousands of women and girls across the globe to shine a light on the power of golf and this international initiative,” said Anne Broholm, CEO, AHEAD. “We believe in the strength of women and their abilities to grow the game, to provide encouragement and to support one another.”

AHEAD’s official WGD headwear showcases the event’s iconic logo and is offered in the distinctive red, white, and black associated with Women’s Golf Day.

Golf courses participating this year that wish to carry AHEAD merchandise should email womensgolfday@aheadhq.com.

AHEAD’s long-time partner, professional golfer, and businesswoman Annika Sörenstam, has also pledged support for Women’s Golf Day through her ANNIKA Foundation.  AHEAD and Sörenstam have enjoyed a long-standing partnership, with the golf legend exclusively wearing AHEAD apparel on the course.

Women’s Golf Day is completely unique in the sporting world, being the only one-day, global celebration of female sport.  Launched in 2016, the annual event now takes place on the first Tuesday in June and continues to grow each year as the sport continues to rise in popularity.

Venues can still register to host an event for Women’s Golf Day 2021 by visiting www.womensgolfday.com and going to “Register a Location.”
