Wie West set to return to the U.S. Women’s Open and Mizuho Americas Open as player host

BRASELTON, Georgia – The American Junior Golf Association continues Season 3 of the Golf’s Next GEN podcast with Episode 3 featuring Michelle Wie West, major champion and one of the game’s most influential voices.

In the episode, Wie West reflects on her return to competition at the U.S. Women’s Open and Mizuho Americas Open, where she will also serve as player host, highlighting a significant moment in her continued impact on the sport.

“This tournament is a legacy piece for me,” said Wie West. “I am extremely honored that I have the opportunity to help shape the LPGA Tour and help shape the game of golf.”

During the episode, Wie West provides additional perspective on this next phase of her career, balancing her return to competition with her role in leading one of the LPGA Tour’s premier events. She discusses the significance of creating meaningful opportunities for both junior and professional players, as well as the continued growth of the Mizuho Americas Open as a platform connecting the AJGA to the highest levels of the game. Drawing from her experiences across every stage of her career, Wie West offers insight into the evolving landscape of women’s golf and the importance of investing in its future.

Golf’s Next GEN continues to serve as a platform for junior golfers, AJGA alumni and industry leaders to share their experiences, insights and aspirations within the game. Hosted by AJGA Vice President of Communications Tim Jackman and Director of Tournament Operations Thomas Harrison, the podcast delivers in-depth conversations that highlight the future of golf.
