Unveiled during the Dow Championship earlier this year, the award honors LPGA athletes who exemplify passion, service and excellence both on and off the course

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida and MIDLAND, Michigan — Fan voting for the inaugural Dow Impact Award is now open. Fans can visit www.lpga.com/news/celebrating-the-green to learn more about the five nominees and cast their votes until Oct. 28.

The inaugural recipient will be announced on Nov. 4.

This Year’s Extraordinary Nominees
The inaugural class of nominees represent women who are leading in unique ways in communities around the world

  • Sisters Ariya and Moriya Jutanugarn, whose bond extends to their shared commitment to helping others, whether they are children or aspiring student doctors
  • Jennifer Kupcho, who has consistently championed youth golf development
  • Gaby Lopez, a passionate advocate for diversity in golf
  • Lexi Thompson, whose vast charitable work impacts young female golfers, veterans and supports breast cancer research through the Lexi Thompson Foundation
  • Rose Zhang, who, despite being relatively new to the tour, is already demonstrating her commitment to expanding opportunities for aspiring female athletes by hosting AJGA events and as an LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Ambassador.

Each of these women represent the intersection of athletic excellence and community impact that Dow believes defines true championship character.

About the Award
The Dow Impact Award, announced at the Dow Championship earlier this year, is a prestigious new annual platform that recognizes the gold standard in professional sports: athletes who don’t just excel at the game but also make extraordinary contributions to their communities. It shines a spotlight on LPGA Tour athletes who exemplify Dow’s values by innovating, inspiring inclusion, and championing sustainability.

How Fans Can Get Involved
Whether cheering on players from the grandstands or supporting their initiatives off the course, fans help fuel the nominees’ success every step of the way. That’s why the ultimate Dow Impact Award recipient will be determined through fan voting, ensuring the award honors not only the players making a profound positive impact but also the supporters who make the LPGA possible. Fans can vote one (1) time for the nominee of their choosing, and those who share the accompanying post on LPGA social channels will unlock a second vote. The winner will be announced on LPGA and Dow social channels as well as on LPGA.com on Nov. 4.

Where Purpose & Partnership Meet
For Dow, this award is more than a corporate sponsorship – it is an opportunity to honor women who are fearlessly living their values—and in doing so, bringing Dow’s own purpose to life in creative ways. As a global leader in materials science, Dow has spent more than a century tackling the world’s toughest challenges through innovation — driven by bold ideas, excellence, and the recognition that we’re stronger together.

The award also reflects Dow’s deep and evolving partnership with the LPGA, built on aligned values and a shared commitment to impact. Since joining forces in 2018, Dow and the LPGA have launched meaningful sustainability initiatives, including Celebrating the Green and the Dow Championship, which in its inaugural year became the first professional golf tournament to earn GEO Certified® Tournament status.
