SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – Troon, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage Pohlcat Golf Course, a daily-fee course in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
Indigo Sports, a Troon company, will oversee golf operations, agronomy, food and beverage, and sales and marketing.

Designed by former PGA TOUR professional and Mountain Pleasant native Dan Pohl, Pohlcat’s 18-hole layout has beautiful tree-lined fairways, playing over and around the scenic 100-foot-wide Chippewa River.
The par-72, 6,954-yard course opened in 1992 and features a mix of modern and classic links-style holes. PohlCat also has expansive practice facilities, including a practice range, chipping green and two putting greens.
“For over three decades, Pohlcat has prided itself on providing high quality golf that’s accessible to everyone,” said Dan Pohl, winner of two PGA TOUR tournaments – the 1986 NEC World Series of Golf and the 1986 Colonial National Invitation. “We’re excited to see Troon take the facility to even greater heights in the future as the game of golf continues to grow and prosper.”
Pohlcat’s clubhouse includes The Den Bar & Grill, a well-appointed golf shop, and golf simulators for year-round enjoyment. The property’s newly renovated banquet facility is available for meetings, weddings and events, with reception seating for up to 275 guests, while a covered veranda overlooks the golf course and Chippewa River.
