BRYAN, TEXAS – Traditions – the private golf club and residential community located just minutes from the Texas A&M University campus – announces the availability of stay-and-play packages in its cottages and casitas starting at $249 based on double occupancy.

Available in January and February, 2015, this unique experience amid one of the country’s most vibrant and exciting college town environments includes an overnight stay in the on-site cottages and casitas, a round of golf on the highly-acclaimed Jack Nicklaus/Jack Nicklaus II signature design and full access to the Traditions Club and Community’s resort-style amenities. Additional golf rounds with a shared cart are available for $100 per guest.

Situated within the Traditions Club and steps from the clubhouse and amenities, the cottages and casitas exude rustic elegance. Available in two-, three- and four-bedroom models, the overnight accommodations are fully furnished with the comforts of home like cable television, washer and dryer, outdoor kitchens and many other amenities.

The Nicklaus tandem masterfully created 18 challenging and scenic holes that traverse through rolling hills punctuated by thick stands of hardwoods and serene natural water features. More than 100 feet of elevation change creates a true, Texas Hill Country atmosphere, while the Champions Ultradwarf greens help provide near flawless playing conditions.

Guests also have full access to the 21,000 square foot clubhouse, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a fully equipped fitness center and the Traditions Club and Community Grille and Pool Complex. Numerous dining options inside the clubhouse include the 1876 Wine Cellar and Sully Dining Room.

“The stay-and-play golf packages make our cottages and casitas extremely appealing for those visiting the Brazos Valley during special events or any other occasion,” says Bill Horton, Traditions Club and Community general manager. “Guests can not only enjoy resort-style accommodations, but also private club privileges throughout their stay.”

Lodging accommodations and tee times at the Traditions Club and Community can be booked by calling 979.779.1007. Subject to avilability, taxes are not included in the rate, and blackout dates and non-member tee time restrictions apply.

About Traditions Club and Community

Traditions Club and Community is the private golf and residential development in “Aggieland” and home to the Texas A&M men’s and women’s golf teams. Located in Bryan-College Station, the club rests in the shadow of the university and in the heart of The Research Valley’s “One Health Plus Biocorridor.”

Its tournament-caliber, Jack Nicklaus / Jack Nicklaus II-designed golf course hosts many high-profile junior, collegiate and amateur events. Amenities include a 21,000-square foot, four-building clubhouse with men’s and women’s locker rooms; 25-meter junior Olympic lap and sport-leisure pools; family swim center with beach-like wading pool; and fully-equipped fitness center. Casual fare is offered at the Poole Grille and fine dining at the clubhouse, home to an impressive wine cellar. Overnight accommodations are available in two-, three- and four-bedroom cottages and casitas located just walking distance from all the club’s amenities.

A Texas A&M diploma or Aggie allegiance is not required to join Traditions Club. Walking in the clubhouse door, however, provides a fascinating glimpse into the proud traditions of Aggieland. Honorary founding members include President George H.W. Bush, Heisman Trophy winner John David Crow and Jack Nicklaus. Other prominent members are Head Football Coach Kevin Sumlin, former football coach R.C. Slocum, women’s basketball coach Gary Blair, retired NFL referee “Red” Cashion and Dr. Brett Giroir, president of the TAMU Health Science Center.
