SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – BoardRoom magazine has named Troon “Management Company of the Year” for 2022 in the publication’s 23rd annual “Excellence in Achievement” awards.” 2022 marks the ninth consecutive year Troon has received the “Management Company of the Year” distinction.

In addition, BoardRoom also recognized Troon Executive Vice President, Rob DeMore as the recipient of the John Fornaro Industry Impact Award, while two of Troon’s core operating brands, RealFood Hospitality, Strategy & Design and Cliff Drysdale Tennis, were awarded top “Food Service Strategic Planning Company” and “Tennis Management Company,” respectively.

The BoardRoom magazine “Excellence in Achievement” awards are the private club industry’s only awards recognizing the clubs’ business partners. BoardRoom magazine’s industry peers review and select outstanding suppliers and consultants, which represent various aspects of course and club operations.

Winners, each year, are selected for overall excellence in their respective fields, achievements, innovation, vision for future growth and continued impact on private club operations.

“This is incredible,” said Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz. “The ongoing commitment to excellence by Troon associates is something to behold and admire. Congratulations to our 26,000-plus team members, my friend and colleague Rob DeMore, and our dedicated professionals at RealFood and Cliff Drysdale. Thank you to BoardRoom magazine and our industry peers for this recognition.”

Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, oversees a global portfolio of prestigious clubs. Of the more than 100 private clubs under Troon Privé management, approximately half are member-owned.

“Private clubs are the beneficiary of outstanding work of the industry’s leaders, such as Troon. We’re delighted to recognize Troon and their contributions to private clubs for the ninth year in a row,” said John Fornaro, publisher of BoardRoom magazine.
