Golf learning center adds state-of-the-art, brand-agnostic fitting technologies created on Hilton Head Island
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, South Carolina – The Sea Pines Resort, home to three outstanding golf courses, including Harbour Town Golf Links, site of the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, has taken another step forward in golf amenities with the addition of SwingFitAI Club Fitting to its award-winning Golf Learning Center.
Developed locally on Hilton Head Island, SwingFitAI is the first artificial-intelligence-powered swing-fitting system in golf. Working with 8 cameras recording 360 frames a second (collecting more than 30,000 data points per swing) SwingFitAI helps the Golf Learning Center’s master fitters better understand how the golf club and shaft interact with each golfer’s unique tempo and movement.
Unlike other club-fitting systems, SwingFitAI utilizes both body and club data from the entire swing, along with a proprietary AI powered fitting algorithm. This patent pending combination helps a golfer hit a higher percentage of good shots, rather than simply optimizing the ball flight on the best ones. A SwingFitAI fitting starts with the golfer taking swings with a defined set of control shafts, producing nearly half a million data points that are measured against a proprietary set of variables to recommend optimal combinations of club and shaft. Those are then tested on the driving range, providing visual and radar-measured results.

After the fitting, clubs are hand assembled by master club builders to exacting tolerances. This ensures that the clubs play as well on the course as they did in the fitting.
