New facility will cut down lead time on orders

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois (April 7, 2021) – With an abundance of increased purchases in custom screen-print and embroidery flag orders in 2020, Wittek Golf knew it was time for an upgrade. They needed more space, machines, materials, and employees to handle all of the new orders and allow the Lyons, Georgia team to accomplish improved lead times.

The addition of the Eastman S-125 Laser Satic CNC Cutting machine, the latest double-sided Lawson Automatic Screen Emulsion, and the M&R 3 head screen burner, Wittek will be able to triple its output.

Facility Manager Jake Anglin was extremely excited about the new building.

“Since the installation of the new machines we have seen an incredible increase in output,” Anglin said. “We can already see the production process is rolling along smoother than ever, allowing us to get orders shipped out even faster while remaining fully CPAT compliant.”

Going from a 30,000-square foot facility to a 40,000-square foot facility opened the opportunity to upgrade equipment and hire experienced employees. The new state-of-the-art facility is fully remodeled and stocked with brand new sewing & embroidery heads and laser cutters for flags. The new machines have established more efficiency on the sewing, embroidery, and screen printing line.

With shipping still having delays due to COVID-19, Wittek aimed to make internal improvements to improve lead times and decrease wait time for nationwide customers.
