Upper Deck Golf is pleased to announce its support for GAP Youth on Course, the Cobbs Creek Foundation, and local First Tee chapters through the donation of golf balls to help expand access to the game for young golfers across the region.

“Upper Deck’s generous donation is such a great gesture of how they aim to benefit the communities that they come to each year,” said Jason Funderburg, Director of Member Outreach and GAP Youth on Course. “Aside from access to facilities, access to equipment, especially golf balls, is a major barrier for kids to get into the game.

“With this donation, kids across the GAP region that are involved in golf at all levels will be able to get out and enjoy this great game that has brought so much joy to those that fall in love with it.”

The donation will help provide more opportunities for kids across the Philadelphia region to play, practice, and discover the thrill of the game. For Upper Deck Golf, this contribution is part of a growing effort to inspire and help provide access to the next generation of kids —no matter their background or skill level.

“Whenever Upper Deck Golf has an event in a market, growth of golf is happening. Seeing the impact these events have on the local golf community—juniors, seniors, elite and newcomer players—has been one of the biggest positives of our partnership with Upper Deck since 2023,” said GAP’s Dan Scofield. “A lot of the growth we’ve seen in the region has come in the form of golf’s next generation of players. The more we can support that, the more we are helping the game we all love. We are looking forward to getting these donated golf balls in the bags of junior golfers for the 2026 season through the incredible organizations of First Tee, Youth on Course and the Cobbs Creek Foundation.”

GAP Youth on Course makes golf affordable and accessible for kids by offering rounds for just $5 at participating courses throughout the Golf Association of Philadelphia’s network. The Cobbs Creek Foundation is restoring the historic Cobbs Creek Golf Course, a site that has long been a symbol of inclusion and opportunity in the sport.

First Tee programs across the region use the game of golf to teach young people valuable life lessons—building confidence, character, and respect along the way.

“We are in Philadelphia this week for our annual event at Citizens Bank Park and through our great partnership with the GAP, we were able to identify three terrific junior golf organizations to help make a difference” said Upper Deck Golf Managing Partners Marc Bender and Adam Wachter. “Golf teaches patience, focus, and community—and we believe every kid should have the chance to experience that.

“Through donating thousands of PXG golf balls, we are able to support these incredible organizations and help make golf more welcoming and accessible for everyone.”

Upper Deck Golf is known for transforming sports stadiums into unforgettable golf experiences, giving players the chance to tee off from the upper decks of America’s most iconic venues. But beyond the excitement, the company is deeply committed to giving back to the communities where it operates—especially when it comes to growing the game among youth.

“Our mission goes beyond fun events—it’s about inspiring a lifelong love of golf,” said Bender and Wachter. “We hope these golf balls help spark that first great shot, that first smile, or even a lifelong passion for the game.”

Upper Deck Golf events allow fans to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime stadium golf engagement. Those lucky enough to snag tickets to the typically sold-out events will see their favorite stadiums set up in a unique way and play golf like never before, with PXG clubs and golf balls, from the upper decks, with no screaming fans.
