United Kingdom golf club operator The Club Company has assumed operational ownership of High Legh Park Golf Club in Cheshire, England, increasing its portfolio of 15 country clubs in the U.K.

This story was first reported by Golf Inc. magazine.

High Legh Park Golf Club is located 40 minutes outside of Manchester and 30 minutes away from another of the company’s clubs, The Tytherington in Macclesfield. It has been in operation since 1998 and features an 18-hole championship course and 9-hole short course, a 24-bay floodlit driving range with Toptracer Technology, two practice areas and putting green and a modern clubhouse.

“I’m delighted to add The Club at High Legh Park to our market leading portfolio of 15 country clubs,” said Richard Calvert, CEO of The Club Company. “With its picturesque 27 holes, extensive driving range and friendly clubhouse, we look forward to providing The Club Company experience to the members of High Legh Park. I’m also pleased that American Golf will continue with their popular retail store at the club.”

The addition aligns with The Club Company’s vision of offering a choice of premium golf destinations which provide unparalleled golfing experiences for its members.

The Club Company has recently committed capital to several of its existing U.K. golf clubs, including The Tytherington, Lichfield G&CC, The Club at Cams Hall Estate, Castle Royle in Reading and Nizels in Kent.

“In the capable hands of The Club Company, we are certain that High Legh Park will go from strength to strength,” said Nigel Oddy, CEO of the International Leisure Group, which sold the club. “The Club Company has a wealth of experience in country club management, and we are confident that the sale of High Legh Park will provide future opportunities for both members and the wider team at the club.”
