Be among the first to play with the Streamsong Limited Edition “Stay & Play 36” including a 2020 Titleist Scotty Cameron Special Select putter of your choice

STREAMSONG, FLORIDA (Sept. 14, 2020) – Streamsong Resort is proud to announce the reopening of Streamsong Blue and Streamsong Red on Oct 1. Both courses have been closed for play as they undergo regrassing with a revolutionary new ultradwarf bermudagrass, Mach 1.

Once complete, Streamsong will become the first golf destination in the world to showcase Mach 1 on a 36-hole layout. The two courses will re-join Streamsong Black, which has remained open and available to the public during this time.

Mach 1 was developed by renowned golf course superintendent Rodney Lingle and is distributed by Modern Turf. It has been recognized as one of the cleanest and purest turfs in the industry with a super fine texture and smoothness that creates a high-quality putting surface.

Through extensive testing, Mach 1 has been proven to provide smoother ball roll, more uniformed growth patterns in warm weather climates and more stability and longevity. It is a genetically strong, high-end performing turfgrass that is both heat and drought tolerant, which is ideal for Florida’s seasonal environment.

“We spent years evaluating the latest technology in the industry before settling on Mach 1,” said Rusty Mercer, director of agronomy at Streamsong. “The grow-in has so far been a huge success, and we look forward to reopening to the public October 1st and sharing the regrassing efforts and the pure golf experience with our guests at one of the very best golf destinations in the world.”

Now, for a limited time only, guests can be among the first to experience the new greens with the Streamsong Limited Edition Stay & Play 36 which includes a 2020 Titleist® Scotty Cameron Special Select putter of your choice with headcover. The Streamsong Limited Edition Stay & Play 36 also includes two-night luxury guestroom accommodations in Streamsong’s lakeside Lodge; 36 holes of golf on Streamsong’s nationally rated courses – Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue; breakfast each day in your choice of restaurants; unlimited play on The Gauntlet, a two-acre 18-hole putting course, and The Roundabout, a seven hole practice facility, on Streamsong Black.

“As we celebrate the opening of Streamsong Blue and Streamsong Red, we are excited to introduce the Streamsong Limited Edition Stay & Play 36,” said Scott Wilson, Streamsong’s director of golf. “This truly immersive package brings together the highest quality putting surface in the game today and the finest milled putters in the world for the ultimate golf experience for our guests.”

Streamsong is home to Florida’s highest rated golf collection and the only destination in the world to experience three distinct golf courses designed by four legendary architects.
