Support the movement as STPGA staff are running for a cause
SPRING, TX — PGA REACH Southern Texas is proud to officially launch Miles Fore the Future, a unique new fundraising campaign that transforms every mile run into life-changing impact.
Supporters can get in on the action by pledging a donation for each mile their chosen runner completes—whether it’s $1, $5, or more—and watch their progress as they race toward both finish lines and fundraising goals. It’s a fun, personal way to support scholarships, youth golf, and veterans, one mile at a time.
In this first phase, the campaign is powered entirely by STPGA staff, who are running races across Texas to raise funds for all four pillars of our Foundation. From junior golf to college scholarships to PGA HOPE to employment opportunities, we want to continue to impact lives through golf.
Supporters can pledge a dollar amount per mile of their chosen runner’s upcoming race or make a flat donation to the campaign as a whole. Donations will directly fuel youth development, veteran rehabilitation, and educational opportunities through the game of golf.
“This isn’t just a run—it’s a mission,” said Sarah Lummus, Foundation Coordinator. “Our staff is leading the way, and now we’re asking our community to rally behind them with every mile.”
Each runner has a personalized campaign page where supporters can read their story, see their race details, and make a pledge or donation. All pages are accessible through the central Miles Fore the Future site, where supporters can explore the team, choose who to support, and stay connected to the campaign’s progress throughout the season.
The first official race takes place this weekend at the Houston Stars & Stripes Race, where STPGA team members will run the 10K and Half Marathon distances to kick off the campaign!
While Miles Fore the Future currently features only STPGA staff, the campaign will expand to allow all PGA of America Members & Associates in Southern Texas and adult supporters who want to get involved. Any race. Any pace. All for a cause.
